I just think that if Jah really were self fulfilled, all knowing, seeing all...you fill in the blanks, why does "he" need worship?

Born-in memories, etc this is my first post, guys ;-)
by ThunderStruck52 inso i have decided to jump in and for the first time and share some of my random memories that seem to have been floating around my mind more and more lately.
mostly if all the weird anxiety i experience from time to time is related to it.
i guess that would be a different topic to post!.

Hey girl, welcome. I'm in my early 60s but the one assembly I'll never forget is the 8 day one in the rose bowl. I was in grade s hool and have no memory of one word they said. Possibly from the echoing sound system, the droning and slow paced hypnotic speakers, or the extreme heat with not a hint of air movement. I literally passed out from the heat. I came too on a cot in a tent with a ton of other people who had passed out. All the Others are just a cluster of bad memories.
the saluting of the flag. I went to kindergarten and the teaCher was telling the class that we were going to learn the flag salute.......except me.....I don't have to. I was stunned with embarrassment and mortified. I wish my mom would have given me a heads up. From then on I was part really part of the normal class. I was as an onlooker and present but not part of anything. What a terrible thing to do to yur kid.
I really hear what you are saying and remembering.

Does Anyone Feel the Ministerial School Helped Them?
by Band on the Run inas a born-in, i was eager to join the ministry school.
my cousins were also born-in but lived in different states.
there was keen competition to see who could do mature things, such as baptism (my mom said when i was 35) and ministry school.

I think I was 11 when I started the MS. At our KH you always were started on the B room (smaller room in the back used as a library, for nursing, and for smacking your kids). The subject was the horsemen of the apocolipse. My householder was a women who was a unique in many ways who would never follow a script. It was a nightmare. Another time I was in the big rooNAND my householder was a catholic so I used her Douay version. I was chastised for not using the NWT . I had no idea you had to only use their bible. I must say I hated every minute of it. I only learned about speaking from Toastmasters.

What if the GB hired you as the new CEO of Jehovah's Witnesses?
by kneehighmiah ini'm pretending the gb decided to hire a ceo to combat dwindling membership and overall apathy.
here is a list of the changes i would make to the organization if i were hired as ceo.
feel free to list your ideas (serious and humorous)!.

Who is easier to indoctrinate, men or women?
by kneehighmiah infrom purely anecdotal evidence, i believe women are more indoctrinated on average.
i can openly disagree with the governing body with men and it results in a discussion however, most women i've talked to have immediately shut me down by ending the conversation.
the only person currently shunning me is a woman.

I don't know. It depends on the teacher. My ex was a linguist and was very hooked on the inter linear and able to quote scriptures for anything. I think it was an ego thing for him.for women there is an appeal of knowing something that others don't...kind of the same thing. Ego. That is so weid because you might study your brains out but your self steem will be brought to zero because you will never kno enough or do enough.

Why would a supremely powerful and wise being regard faith as a virtue?
by Island Man inif i were the all-powerful creator of all the universe it would be a very easy thing to prove my existence, requirements and will in an indisputable and unambiguous way.
everyone would know of my existence and requirements without them having to put forth effort to believe based on limited, ambiguous evidence that is highly subject to interpretation.
i would regard faith as a harmful trait that makes one vulnerable to being deceived.

Any all-anything self complete being would have no need to demand worship, clothing or hair demands, no need to control anything or any body.
